The Corvallis Knights scored twice in the top of the eighth inning on the way to a 2-1 win over the Humboldt Crabs at the Arcata Ball Park on Sunday afternoon to complete an opening weekend sweep of their rivals.

The shorthanded Crabs managed just six hits for the game, with Bryce Kirk finishing 1-for-3 and driving in the team’s only run in the bottom of the sixth.

Riley Clearly took the loss on the mound in relief of starter Davonte Butler, who allowed just three hits in 6.1 scoreless innings and struck out six.
