Two more wins for Redwoods softball 

The Corsairs continued their impressive start to the softball season with a doubleheader sweep at Cabrillo on Friday.

Redwoods took game one by a score of 8-3 and won the nightcap by forfeit after the game was called just two innings in with the Corsairs leading 9-1 and Cabrillo down to eight players.

Lindsey Scott continued to pitch well for the CR women, getting the win in both games.

At the plate, returning all-conference selection Amy Reyes continued her sensational start to the season with a pair of hits in both games.

Sadie Wilkinson added three hits in the opener, as the CR women exploded for 13 hits for the game and scored three runs in each of the second and sixth innings.

Samantha Caughie and Shawnau Johnson each also had two hits in the win, while Grace Rosebrook, Karyn Jensen, Jaycee Morais and Calissa Stokesberry each had a hit.

In just two innings in game two, Reyes, Caughie, Rosebrook and Morais each had two hits.

Next up, Redwoods (5-2) plays a doubleheader at West Valley next Friday.
