The Cal Poly Humboldt volleyball team won a pair of matches over the weekend to move into a tie for fourth in the CCAA standings.
The Jacks welcomed Menlo and Cal State Monterey Bay to Lumberjack Arena and took both matches.
They beat Menlo in an exciting five-sets showdown, 25-22, 25-19, 18-25, 24-26, 15-11, before getting the better of the Otters in straight sets, 25-20, 25-10, 25-22.
Graysen Trupp led the Jacks in kills against Menlo with 17, while Tatyana Jennings had 11 and Avary Spoja chipped in 10.
Jennings also had three aces, while Phoebe Bland finished with a team-best seven blocks, Brielle Wilson had a team-high 24 assists and Elizabeth Jade Andrade had 21 digs.
Trupp continued to shine against Monterey and led the way again with 15 kills, while Bland had another big day at the net, finishing with five blocks, and Wilson had 19 assists.
The Jacks will hit the road for a pair of matches this week, traveling to play Cal State San Bernardino on Thursday (5 p.m.) and Cal State San Marcos on Saturday (5 p.m.)
They are now 2-2 in the CCAA and 7-5 on the season.
