Two changes have been announced to the schedule for this week’s Charles Lakin Tournaments.

The H-DNL postseason baseball and softball tournaments are taking place in Arcata this week after getting under way on Tuesday evening.

The baseball tournament is being played at the Arcata Ball Park, while the softball tournament is taking place around the corner at the Arcata Sports Complex.

One of the changes announced involves the softball championship game, which takes place on Friday.

The starting time was originally scheduled for 3:30 p.m., but that has now been pushed back to 5 p.m.

The game had been scheduled for earlier in the afternoon because of a scheduling conflict at the Arcata Sports Complex, but that is no longer the case.

Another change to the schedule was announced by the league on Wednesday morning.

Thursday’s two softball semifinals have now switched, with South Fork and Fortuna facing off at 5 p.m. instead of 7, and the McKinleyville and Eureka semifinal now taking place at 7 instead of 5.

The changes were made to accommodate the longer travel times involved for South Fork.
