A busy fall for the College of the Redwoods men’s wrestling team continued over the weekend, with a pair of events.

On Thursday, the CR men traveled to Hayward for a dual meet with Chabot College and lost 30-21.

The following day, the team competed at the PST Invitational, which was hosted by Chabot in Hayward, and CR placed ninth at the 11-team event.

Next up, Redwoods will travel to Modesto for the North Regional tournament on Dec. 6.

One of the highlights of the weekend for the local community college team was the performance of Jacob Torres.

Torres, a freshman from Anderson High School, finished 3-0 on the weekend and placed second in his bracket at the tournament, before a medical forfeit in the final.

Caleb Aguilera and Isaiah Bell both also impressed for CR and each finished 4-2 on the weekend.
