In the end, Bria Larson left no doubt as to who was the best golfer in the H-DNL this fall.
League play wrapped up on Monday and Larson completed her remarkable stretch run with another big win.
With four different golfers posting low scores in the first four rounds of league action, it appeared as if the race for the championship was wide open.
But Larson began to exert her dominance later in the campaign and won three of the final four rounds to comfortably claim the league crown, including a seven-stroke victory in the seventh and final round of league play at Baywood Golf & Country Club on Monday.
Larson shot a 98 at the Arcata course, 13 strokes better than her first league appearance at Baywood earlier in the campaign.
She won the season title by an impressive 22 strokes with a total of 598, with her teammate Jaylee Keeling and Eureka’s Hailey Forster tying for second with 620 each.
And that’s not all for Larson and Keeling.
The talented duo’s impressive regular season helped the Warriors to a first-ever team league championship.
On Monday, the Warriors won for the sixth time in seven rounds of league play to secure a dominating team championship by 208 strokes.
They also had three of the top four individual scores on the day.
Forester placed second with a round of 105, followed by impressive Del Norte freshman Taylor Horner, who shot a 109 for her second lowest round of the league season.
Keeling was fourth with a round of 110, with McKinleyville’s Ingrid Monaghan and Eureka’s Sophia Zwald tying for the fifth best score of the day with identical rounds of 111.
