Close to 40 participants have already signed up for this weekend’s coaching clinic, which will be co-hosted by the Cal Poly Humboldt and College of the Redwoods athletic departments.

But spaces are still available and organizers are hoping to attract more participants for the free event.

The clinic will be held in the KA building on the CPH campus from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The event is open to any coaches or parents and all levels of coaches in all sports are welcome to attend.

The topics that will be addressed at the clinic include best practices for daily and season planning, building team culture, and how to handle parent challenges.

The event includes dinner for all participants.
