The Humboldt Eagles 19Us saw their hopes of winning their own tournament end in a 10-0 loss to Napa at Beloit Field on Saturday night.
The Eagles also lost 8-5 to the Colts Black team on Friday night, but responded with a 15-4 win over Breakout Baseball on Saturday morning.
Saturday night’s performance was a disappointing one for the tournament hosts who gave up five runs in the bottom of the third to put themselves in a 7-0 hole from which they never recovered.
Cole Zeller led a seven-hit team performance and finished the game 2-for-3, with Alex Jimenez, Michael Manzi, Kyle Giacone, Finn Warner and Brayden Bermers each adding a hit.
Cooper Ohlsen got the start on the mound and pitch three innings, allowing nine hits and striking out three.
Earlier in the day, Kolbey Stolpe and Giacone led a 17-hit team performance at the plate in Saturday’s opening game.
Stolpe finished 4-for-4 with a double, a triple, two RBIs and three runs, and Giacone was 3-for-3 with two doubles two RBIs and two runs.
Zeller, Manzi, Warner, Lyle McKinnon and Garrett Levitt each added two hits in the win, including a triple by Levitt and doubles by Manzi and Warner.
Aidan Rice and Jimenez combined for a one-hitter on the mound and got plenty of run support, as the Eagles opened up a 5-0 lead going into the bottom of the third inning and ended the game as a contest with eight runs in the top of the fifth.
Rice threw four hitless innings for the win, giving up two walks and striking out one, before Jimenez came in to close it out.

On Friday night, the Eagles lost to the Colts Black team in a competitive and exciting game that went right down to the wire.
Rice finished with three hits for the Eagles and drove in two runs, while Manzi, Warner and Levitt each had two hits, including a double by Warner.
Levitt also had two RBIs and Warner scored twice.
Jimenez rounded out a 10-hit team performance.
A pair of former McKinleyville High pitchers combined on the mound, with Branson Dobrec throwing five innings, allowing six hits and a walk.
Stolpe pitched the final two innings, giving up four hits and a walk and striking out two.
The Eagles will now play for third place on Sunday at noon.

17Us
The Eagles 17Us, meanwhile, tied the Northern Humboldt Giants 6-6 in both teams’ final pool game at the Redwood Fields in Cutten.
And that sets up a rematch between the two local clubs in the tournament playoffs on Sunday.
Abel Estes and Brayden Bermers led the Eagles at the plate in Saturday’s showdown.
Estes finished 2-for-2 with a walk and drove in two runs, while Bermers finished 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
Giacone, who played for both Eagles teams on Saturday, added a hit, as did teammates Ryder Mitchell, Scotty Brogan and Grayson Ramey, while Bryson Burns walked twice.
Mitchell got the start on the mound and pitched six innings, allowing six hits and two walks and striking out eight.

Burns threw one hitless and scoreless inning in relief, allowing two walks and striking out three.
With the tie, the Eagles earned the No. 2 seed for Sunday’s playoffs, while the Giants are seeded No. 3.
Sunday’s game between the two local teams is set for 11:30 a.m.
The Southern Humboldt 76ers earned the No. 1 seed after pool play and will play either the Eagles or the Giants for the tournament championship on Sunday.
