The McKinleyville Panthers have advanced to the semifinal round of the Charles Lakin softball tournament after a 6-1 win over the Hoopa Warriors in opening-day action at the Arcata Sports Complex on Tuesday.

They will now play Big 5 winners Del Norte on Thursday evening at 5 p.m.
