The 46th annual Foggy Bottom Milk Run will take place on Sunday, March 9 in Ferndale.

Registration is now under way for the event, which is presented by the Six Rivers Running Club and features 10-mile, four-mile and two-mile races.

The four- and 10-mile races begin at noon, followed by the two-mile race at 2 p.m., and all three of the races start and finish on Main St.

The two-mile race includes a school and youth group competition.

Teams from schools and youth organizations throughout Humboldt County will be competing to take home one of the five coveted cow trophies.

All of the two-mile finishers also will receive a finisher’s ribbon.

The four- and 10-mile races will award first-place overall finishers as well as first through third place finishers in age groups in five-year increments, male and female.

Chocolate milk will be waiting at the finish line, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Humboldt Creamery.

Pre-registration will be open online until Thursday, March 6.

Entry fees are $15 for the two-mile age 14 and under; $25 for the two-mile age 15 and over; $35 for the four-mile; and $45 for the 10 mile.

Late registration will be available at Portuguese Hall in Ferndale on the weekend of the race, with an increase of $10 for each race.
