A pair of College of the Redwoods wrestlers will carry some momentum into the upcoming Northern Regionals after strong showings at last weekend’s P.S.T. Invitational tournament.

The Corsairs traveled to Hayward for the tournament on Saturday.

At 125 pounds, former Arcata Tiger Dakota Sanders continued his impressive season with another big performance.

Sanders finished the day with a record of 4-1 and placed third in his bracket.

Also impressing for CR was Jared Williams.

Williams competed in the 165-pound division and also finished the day 3-1, placing third in his bracket.

CR head coach Brandon Benvenuti and his grapplers will now turn their attention towards this year’s Northern Regionals as they look to close out the 2024 season strong.

The big tournament will take place at Santa Rosa JC on Dec. 7.
