The Eureka Loggers traveled to Hoopa and came away with a straight sets win in volleyball on Wednesday night.
The Eureka girls won 25-18, 25-17, 25-20 as they continue to build momentum ahead of their upcoming league schedule.
And, according to head coach Stephanie Napoleon, several players contributed in the win.
“It was a team effort with everyone getting playing time and contributing,” she said.
Sophomore Tiarah Maualuga led the Loggers with 16 kills and six aces, while teammate Baylie Battle added 19 assists and a pair of aces.
Also impressing was Kaitlynn Whitehead, who had five kills and two blocks, as well as Giselle Salas, who finished with five kills.
Aimee Rogers also impressed and had 12 digs and a pair of aces.
The victory follows a strong showing at the recent Chico tournament where the Loggers made it all the way to the championship game and placed second in the tourney silver bracket.
The Eureka girls open league play at Arcata on Sept. 19.
