The Arcata Tigers continued their dominating season at the H-DNL doubles championships over the weekend, although they didn’t have all their own way.

Two weeks after sweeping all six league titles at the singles championships, the Tigers took two of the three doubles championships at Fortuna High.

Nick Bosch and Reed Berman teamed up to win the No. 1 doubles title for Arcata, defeating Northcoast Prep’s Gene Quinn and Iver Taylor in the final by a score of 6-1, 6-1.

Bosch and Berman will represent the league at next month’s North Coast Section doubles championships.

They will join teammate Lootah Hall in the section playoffs after Hall recently defeated Quinn in the league No. 1 singles tournament.

Arcata also won the No. 2 doubles titles over the weekend, with Micah Schiller and Bruin Nave getting the better of NPA’s Charlie Vanderpool and Preston Illman in the final, 6-3, 6-4.

The NPA boys, however, prevented an Arcata sweep of the titles with victory in the No. 3 bracket.

The duo of Colter Feldman and Richie Alvarez won a three-set final against Arcata’s Eron Luoma and Bodhi Jennings in a matchup that went right down to the wire

The NPA pairing battled back from an opening set loss to win 2-6, 6-4, 7-6(2).
