The South Fork girls basketball team closed out their own Gene Cotter Memorial Tournament with a record of 2-1 and placed third in tournament play for the second week in a row.
After suffering a narrow 45-43 loss to Mendocino in their tournament opener, the Cubs posted back-to-back wins over Anderson Valley (42-40) and Point Arena (52-40) and improved to 7-5 on the season.
South Fork’s Makenzie Brewer and Raevyn Reveles were both named to the all-tournament team.
Reveles scored a team-high 14 points in Saturday’s third-place game, while Cadence Young finished with 11 points.
Arianna Trigonis also had a good game for South Fork and finished with nine points, while Karalyn Worsick and Aubrey Young each chipped in five points.
Brewer and Cloe McConnell both scored four points to round out a balanced offensive team performance.
Last week, the Cubs placed third at the Potter Valley tournament.
