The Crusaders are undefeated champions of the Little 4 in both varsity and JV volleyball.

On Tuesday night, the varsity team competed a dominating run through league play with a straight sets win at Hoopa.

The Crusaders won 25-9, 25-7, 25-10 and close out league play with a perfect record of 8-0 as they get set for next week’s North Coast Section playoffs.

And that’s not all for the program.

The St. Bernard’s JVs also closed out league unbeaten to cap an outstanding season for the young players.

The Crusaders finished 5-0 in league and 23-2 overall, including winning all three tournaments they competed in.

Reigning varsity league MVP Madelyn Shanahan had a big night in Tuesday’s victory.

The multi-sport standout led the team with 10 kills, while teammate Jocelyn Sundberg added eight kills and Rihanna Fontenot had seven.

Sahara Tupua also had a good night for the league champions and dished out 31 assists to go with 10 aces.

The Crusaders, who will host a playoff game as league champions, improved to 15-9 overall.

They will find out their playoff opponent when the NCS brackets are announced this weekend.
