The dominating Panthers standout finished the 5K course at the Eureka Municipal Golf Course in a time of 17 minutes, 19 seconds and outpaced the field by almost a minute.

Dinan, who was last week’s Humboldt Sports Athlete of the Week, has now won nine consecutive H-DNL regular season races dating back to the beginning of last season.

Eureka’s Everett Docherty was second in a time of 18:16 for his best career finish in an H-DNL race.

The junior improved on last week’s performance at McKinleyville’s Hiller Park by one spot and led the Loggers to their first team victory of the fall.

After placing second to Arcata in each of the first two league races, the Eureka boys had five runners place in the top 10 to secure the team win by just two points.

Eureka scored 33 points, with the Tigers, who had four runners in the top 10, scoring 35 points.

McKinleyville was a distant third with 92 points followed by Hoopa (111) and Fortuna (115).

Individually a sophomore and a freshmen placed in the top four.

Arcata sophomore Ocean Walker was third and crossed the finish line just two seconds behind Docherty in a time of 18:18, with Eureka freshman Ryder Bullman fourth in a time of 18:24.
