An INEX sanctioned event is coming to the Redwood Acres Raceway this weekend.

On Saturday night, the local track will feature the third annual Legends Of The Redwoods Shootout.

The top Legends drivers throughout the region will visit the 3/8-mile oval and a high car count is expected for an event that will serve as an INEX sanctioned National Qualifying Race

DelReka Distributing will be presenting this weekend’s races, which will also feature the bombers and mini stocks. 

The event will be held in honor of Craig Perrone, the former owner and founder of DelReka Distributing who passed away in 2021.

Perrone was a major enthusiast of racing at Redwood Acres Raceway, not only through his support of the track but as well as the numerous drivers and race teams his business sponsored throughout the years.

Tickets for Saturday’s race are available on RacinTheAcres.com and can also be purchased at Automasters in Eureka, Don’s Rent-All in Eureka, McKinleyville Barbershop and JC Auto in Fortuna. 

Tickets will also be available at the gate on race day. 

The front gates open at 4 p.m., with the racing getting under way at 5:30 p.m.

The races will also be streamed live on RacinTheAcres.tv and SpeedSport.tv. 

An open practice is also scheduled for Friday from 1 to 6 p.m.
