The Eureka Loggers made it two wins in two days at the Shasta tournament on Wednesday with an 11-2 victory over Red Bluff.
Cooper Ohlsen pitched 6.2 strong innings and got plenty of help from a balanced offensive team performance with seven different Eureka players combining for 10 hits.
With the win, the Loggers improved to 2-0 in tournament action and 8-4 on the season.
Ohlsen gave up five hits and three walks and struck out three on the way to the win, with Jorge Lopez coming in to record the final out.
The Loggers scored a run in each of the second and third innings to take the lead and began to pull away with three more runs in the top of the fourth.
They blew the game open with five runs in the fifth.
Rogan Bode set the tempo at the plate and finished 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBIs and a pair of runs, while Ean Savage also was 2-for-3 and had an RBI and a run.
Lopez also made some noise at the plate and was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
Ohlsen, Seth Grammer, Caden Vance and Toa Ou each had a hit, with Ou also showcasing his speed on the bases with a pair of stolen bases.
The Eureka boys will close out tournament play against Enterprise on Thursday at 12:30 p.m.
