By Ray Hamill — Little 4 leaders St. Bernard’s will try to stretch the gap at the top of the Little 4 standings on Saturday when they play a baseball doubleheader against South Fork.

The game, however, has been switched from Miranda to Crusader Field in Eureka because of the field conditions at South Fork High.

A second scheduled doubleheader between the two schools in late April has also been switched and will now take place at South Fork instead of St. Bernard’s.

Game one on Saturday is set for 11 a.m.

The Crusaders, who began league play in early March with a doubleheader sweep over Hoopa, are 2-0 in the Little 4, while the Cubs will be playing their first league games this weekend.

So too will the Ferndale Wildcats, who travel to Hoopa for a doubleheader on Saturday, with game one set for 1 p.m.

The Warriors are 0-2 in the Little 4.
