One day after losing to University in girls basketball, the McKinleyville Panther responded with a victory over the host school at the three-day Justin-Siena classic on Wednesday.
The Mack girls lost 48-22 to the Red Devils in their opener and then beat the Braves 45-32.
Camryn Pinard scored a game-high 16 points in the win, as the Panthers improved to 9-3 on the season.
Teammate Tatum Fisher also had a good game offensively and finished with 12 points, while Gabby Watson and Kim Lewis each scored six points and Bella Turner chipped in four points.
Turner led the Panthers offensively on Tuesday with seven points, while Watson had five points and Pinard finished with four points.
The Panthers close out there three-day event against Lincoln on Thursday at noon.
Lincoln is 4-3.
