Claus, Gillette to make Puget Sound debut on ESPN

By Ray Hamill — Zac Claus and Drew Gillette will make their University of Puget Sound debuts on ESPN.

The two former Fortuna High and College of the Redwoods standouts transferred to play for the Division-III Loggers this year and will tip off the new season on Wednesday night.

The Puget Sound men will play an exhibition game against Division-i Seattle University and the game will be streamed live on ESPN Plus, with tip-off set for 7 p.m.

The talented duo enjoyed tremendous success here on the North Coast before transferring, including winning 30 games in their senior year at Fortuna.

The would go on to star for CR, along with Fortuna teammates Bradley and Donald Willis, where they won back-to-back Golden Valley Conference championships.

Puget Sound was 9-16 last year, including a 4-12 record in conference.
