The future appears bright for Arcata volleyball.

The Tigers JV team just completed a memorable season that saw them go undefeated in the Big 5 on the way to a league title.

The young Arcata girls were 19-2 overall, with their only losses coming in two tournament championship games, including one to a varsity team.

Several players stepped up for the Tigers, all of whom will be expected to play just as big a role at the varsity level in the coming years.

Libero Bella Campbell helped set the tempo for the team and is a “super quick” player with a “great attitude,” according to varsity head coach Laurie Griffith.

Addie Day also had a big season, impressing with her serving and outside play, while Addy Wingate hit hard out of the middle.

“They worked hard to improve this year and had great attitudes,” Griffith said of the roster.
