The 2021 NH Giants

By Ray Hamill — The Northern Humboldt Giants American Legion baseball team will hold tryouts this weekend for the upcoming summer season.

The tryouts will be held at the Arcata Babe Ruth Field at 1 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday and they are open to any player aged 14-17 from Arcata, Brookings, Del Norte, Hoopa and McKinleyville high schools.

Players aged 18 will only be eligible if their birthdays fell after Jan. 1 this year.

The teams will be finalized after Sunday’s tryouts.

The Giants will be coached by Troy Ghisetti.
