All four local NCS championship games set for Friday

By Ray Hamill — The dates and times for this weekend’s North Coast Section championship games in baseball and softball have been set, with four deciders taking place here in Humboldt County.

The Eureka, Hoopa and McKinleyville girls will all play for a championship, as will the St. Bernard’s boys, with all four of them hosting games on Friday night.

The three softball championships will all take place at 5 p.m.

In Division 3, No. 1 Eureka will play No. 3 San Rafael at Washington Elementary School, while in Division 4, No. 1 McKinleyville will play No. 3 Fort Bragg at Mack High.

In Division 5, No. 1 Hoopa will play No. 2 St. Helena at Hoopa High.

And rounding out a busy night for H-DNL teams, the No. 1 St. Bernard’s boys will play No. 2 Credo in the Division-6 baseball decider at Bomber Field in Eureka at 7 p.m.

Tickets for all four game scan only be purchased digitally and not at the gate.
