It was a busy weekend for Hailey Dolcini.
The University of Texas ace pitched all 21 innings in three games against Washington in the Seattle Regional on Saturday and Sunday, as the Longhorns kept their season going and advanced to this week’s Super Regionals.
Dolcini threw all seven innings in an 8-2 win on Saturday against the No. 11 team in the nation, according to the most recent USA Today poll, allowing just three hits and no walks and striking out seven.
She came back on Sunday and pitched two more seven-inning games for the No. 16 Texas women, each of which was decided by a single run.
The Longhorns dropped the opener 2-1 and then bounced back to win game two 3-2 .
Dolcini, who is now 21-9 on the season, allowed just two earned runs over the two games, while scattering 11 hits and two walks and striking out eight.
The former Fortuna Huskies standout, who was a four-time Big 5 MVP, will now play at the Fayetteville Super Regionals, which will be broadcast live on ESPN 2.
The Longhorns will play a three-game series against No. 4 Arkansas, with game one scheduled for Thursday at 4 p.m., and game two on Friday at 1 p.m.
