An outstanding season for Kira Morris and the Eureka Loggers continued on Tuesday, as the junior pitched a no-hitter in a 3-1 win at Del Norte.

Morris struck out seven in a complete game and the Loggers improved to 5-1 in the Big 5 (16-1 overall) halfway through their league schedule.

Kaitlin Giacone and McKenna Beach led the Loggers at the plate with a pair of hits and an RBI each, while Morris also had a double and drove in a run.

Maeghan Hampton also hit a double on the very first pitch of the game.

Josephine Heuberger scored the Warriors’ only run after reaching base on an error, advancing on a Shay Nolan sac bunt and being driven home by Lexi Heuberger.

Despite the loss, Del Norte pitcher McKenna Curtis had a “great game,” according to head coach Jackie Heuberger, and finished with 11 strikeouts.

The Warriors dropped to 4-5 in the Big 5 and 11-8 overall.

Both teams will continue a busy week on Wednesday.

The Loggers play at Fortuna and Del Norte plays at Arcata.
