The Crusaders inched closer to an inevitable league title in Little 4 baseball on Tuesday after sweeping another doubleheader at South Fork.
The Crusaders won 20-4 and 21-3 and improved to 8-0 in league play and 15-3 overall.
They can clinch the league title outright when they play two games at Ferndale (5-3) on Saturday.
On Tuesday, the league leaders hit 10 home runs over the two games, including three by Aidan Dorsch and two each by Nick Dugan and Drew Vizenor.
Dugan now has a team-leading six home runs on the season.
Peyton Smith, Brayden Luna and Cayden Lee each also had a home run on Tuesday, while Jeran Ford hit two doubles.
Brody Tomlin and Tyler Dimmick combined on the mound to hold South Fork to just four hits in the opener and Lee, Dorsch and Carl Nunes combined to throw a four-hitter in game two.
John Harding was one of the few bright spots for South Fork and had a pair of hits in each game.
The Cubs are now 3-5 in league and 8-10 overall.
St. Bernard’s plays Eureka in an intriguing non-league matchup on Thursday evening.
