The Corsairs ended an eight-game losing streak in baseball and got their first conference wins this week, winning back-to-back games at College of the Siskiyous on Thursday and Friday.
College of the Redwoods won 10-7 and 11-3, improving to 2-7 in the Golden Valley Conference and 8-14 on the season.
Grant Lassere had a big game in the opener, finishing 3-for-4 at the plate with a three-run home run and also recording the save on the mound in relief of starter Ray Fellows, who got the win.
Max Merlan also had a big game, finishing 4-for-5 and driving in three runs.
Chandler Jones pitched the win in game two, finishing with 10 strikeouts.
At the plate, Tyler Steig hit a three-run home run for the offensive highlight of the game, while teammate Jake Agarwal had the hot bat and finished 4-for-4 with three RBIs.
The Corsairs will try to keep the momentum going when they play three games at Shasta next weekend.
The Knights are also 2-7 in the GVC and tied with the Corsairs for fourth in the standings, with Siskiyous now 1-8.
