Cal Poly Humboldt Athletics – Izzy Starr

The Cal Poly Humboldt softball team split an opening day doubleheader at Holy Names in Hayward on Wednesday, dropping game one 9-2 before bouncing back to take the nightcap 17-4.

Izzy Starr finished 5-for-8 on the day, as the Jacks hammered out 24 hits on their way to 19 runs.

Micalea Harris also had a big day and finished 3-for-8 with five runs scored, while going 4-for-4 on stolen base attempts.

The Jacks now travel to Colorado for six games, playing two games at the University of Colorado on Friday.
