Fortuna boys top South Fork in non-league showdown

Five Fortuna players scored nine or more points on Wednesday as the the Huskies defeated the South Fork Cubs 85-67 in non-league boys basketball in Miranda.

Alfonso Medina finished with a game-high 22 points in the win, as the Huskies improved to 10-15.

The in-form Jordin Bourne added 18 points, while Russell Pascascio chipped in 14, Will May 12 and Jake Houseworth nine.

Tanner Curran scored a team-high 18 points for South Fork, which dropped to 10-3, while Ryder York finished with 12 points.

Tommy Rotbergs chipped in 11 points and Shevy Bero nine.
