The Redwood Acres Raceway has released the 2022 season schedule, which will get under way on April 30 and feature 10 nights of racing over five months.
A packed schedule will feature a touring series or special event on almost every race night, as well as the season championships for all five divisions — late models, Legends, bombers, mini stocks and roadrunners.
The late models will get the season started with a bang and the season-opening 100-lap Rotary Rhododendron 100 will feature a $10,000 purse, which should draw many of the top late model racers in the region.
The late model season will also feature the annual Harper Motors Firecracker 100 on July 9, as well as the O’Reilly Fall Spectacular on September 24 with another 100-circuit race.
The local raceway will also host several touring series events this season, including two North State Modified Series races on June 4 and at the Fall Spectacular on September 24.
The Upstate Bomber Series will be returning to Eureka twice in 2022, on July 9 and September 10.
The west coast’s top super late model drivers will stop by on August 13 as part of the Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series, which will be making its first visit to the Redwood Acres since 2016.
The Gunslinger Sprint Cars will be making their long-awaited debut at Redwood Acres Raceway on July 30.
That event coincides with the second annual Legends Of The Redwood Shootout, which will feature a very strong field of Legends drivers from all over the west.
