The Humboldt State men’s basketball team wrapped up an impressive weekend road trip with a 66-45 win at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday.

Stellar defense paved the way to victory, and the 45 points were the least amount allowed by an HSU team since a 78-40 non-conference win over Notre Dame de Namur in 2009.

Amari Green led the way offensively with 14 points, while Jaden Edwards recorded his eighth double-double of the season with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Former Arcata High and College of the Redwoods standout Thomas Nelson finished with two rebounds and two assists in seven minutes.

With the win, HSU is now 4-6 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association and 10-6 overall.

Dominguez Hills dropped to 5-4 and 8-7.

HSU also won 67-63 at Cal State East Bay last Thursday.

The Jacks return home to play Chico State this Thursday night.
