Humboldt State men get back to winning ways

The Humboldt State men’s basketball team got a much-needed road win at Cal State East Bay on Thursday night, winning 67-63.

Jaden Edwards led the way his seventh double-double of the season, finishing with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

The win ended a two-game losing skid, as the Jacks improved to 3-6 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association and 9-6 overall.

The HSU women also played at Cal State East Bay on Thursday and dropped their fourth straight game, losing 76-55.

Julia Iman scored a team-high 17 points in the loss, as the Jacks fell to 3-5 in the CCAA and 4-8  overall.

Del Norte’s Jadence Clifton got her third straight start for HSU and finished with seven points and four rebounds in 27 minutes.

Both HSU teams play at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday.
