By Ray Hamill — With fans still unable to attend any H-DNL sporting events, most of the basketball games will continue to be streamed live online by the host schools, and several will be broadcast live on local radio this week.

MIX 95.1 FM has added Tuesday night’s game between the Arcata and Fortuna boys at Arcata High to its schedule this week after Tuesday’s St. Bernard’s and South Fork boys game was postponed due to COVID protocols.

Tag Wotherspoon will call the action and will also be on hand at Thursday’s Fortuna boys game at McKinleyville, as well as Saturday’s boys and girls doubleheader between Arcata and the Crusaders at St. Bernard’s.

KPOD 97.9 FM will also broadcast all four of Del Norte’s Big 5 games this week, including matchups against McKinleyville and Eureka.

The Del Norte games will also be broadcast live through the school’s Facebook page.

One other game was added to the schedule for Tuesday night, and the St. Bernard’s boys will now play at Eureka after their game against South Fork was postponed.

That game, however, will not be broadcast on the radio.
