By Ray Hamill — This week’s conference openers for both College of the Redwoods basketball teams have been pushed back because of COVID protocols.
The Corsairs were scheduled to open the Golden Valley Conference at home to Feather River on Saturday, but those two games will now be played on Wednesday, Jan. 26.
Tip off is set for 1 p.m. for the women and 3 p.m. for the men.
According to a press release from CR, the adjustments to the schedules are due to COVID related protocols for several teams in the conference.
Other changes to the schedule were also announced on Tuesday.
The CR men’s home game with Marin, which was originally scheduled for Dec. 3, will now be played on Jan. 24 at 7 p.m.
Next up, the Corsairs will now play at Butte on Thursday of next week, with the women playing at 5 p.m. and the men at 7 p.m.
The next home games for both teams will take place on Jan. 19 against Lassen at 5 and 7 p.m.
