The Huskies dropped their opening game at the Arcata tournament on Thursday night, falling 72-63 to Las Plumas.
The Fortuna boys started the stronger of the two teams but Las Plumas began to take control and led 40-35 at halftime.
The Huskies rallied in the second half and cut the deficit to five on a few occasions, but Las Plumas went on a run each time they did to retake control.
Alfonso Medina continued to play well for the Huskies and led them again in scoring with 21 points, while RJ Rexford added 18 and Jordin Bourne 16.
Fortuna, which dropped to 3-3 on the season, continues tourney play against Red Bluff on Friday at 5 p.m.
