Former Eureka Logger Cruz Montana had his best game yet at the collegiate level over the weekend, leading Lewis & Clark to a 46-29 win against Puget Sound.
The 2019 Eureka graduate completed 15 of 27 passes for 263 yards and four TDs, posting career highs in yards and touchdowns.
The win was the second straight for the Pioneers, who improved to 3-3 overall (2-2 in conference), and Montana has played a big role for the team as a starter this season and continues to show improvement.
The Lewis & Clark QB has thrown for multiple touchdowns in each of his past three games and now has 12 on the season with just three interceptions.
He has thrown just one pick in the past three weeks.
In six games, the former Logger has completed 53 percent of his passes for 1172 yards and also has scored on a TD run.
The Division-III Pioneers will try to make three straight wins when they play at Pacific (Oregon) on Saturday.
