By Ray Hamill — The Big 5 and Little 4 volleyball championships will be decided on Tuesday night, with two title deciding showdowns scheduled.

At Arcata High, the Tigers will host Del Norte for the Big 5 championship, with the varsity match getting under way at approximately 6:30 p.m., right after the JV game.

Both the Tigers and Warriors are 5-2 heading into the league finale and the winner will be crowned outright champion and earn a home playoff game.

The Little 4 title, meanwhile, will be decided when Hoopa travels to St. Bernard’s.

The Crusaders, who are 7-1 in conference play, have already claimed at least a share of the championship and can win it outright with a victory.

The Warriors, who have lost twice to St. Bernard’s in league play, are 6-2 and will be co-champs with a victory.

The match is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

Also on Tuesday, McKinleyville plays at Eureka and South Fork plays Ferndale.
