The Eureka Loggers will carry some momentum into this weekend’s Arcata volleyball tournament after posting a four-set win over Mendocino on Friday.
The Loggers rallied from an early deficit to win 21-25, 25-19, 25-19, 26-24, taking a close fourth set for the win.
Mariah Napoleon continued her impressive start to the season with 10 aces and nine kills in the victory.
Aniah Gaither also continued to impress with 10 aces, while Anisha Rechelluul had a team-best 23 assists.
The Loggers will join the rest of the Big 5, along with Hoopa and St. Bernard’s, at Saturday’s Arcata tournament.
The tourney will feature 16 teams in total, with games taking place at Arcata and McKinleyville high schools.
