By Ray Hamill — Humboldt State University will host the California Collegiate Athletic Association tournaments in men’s and women’s basketball this coming year.
The games will be played at Lumberjack Arena from March 3 to March 5.
The top six men’s and women’s teams in conference will be included with the top two teams in each bracket receiving a first-round bye.
Humboldt State put in a bid to host the tournament, which will alternate each year between the NorCal and SoCal campuses moving forward.
The action gets under way on Thursday March 3 with four games between the lower seeds, two in the men’s bracket and two in the women’s bracket.
The four semifinals are scheduled for that Friday and the two championship games will take place on Saturday.
The CCAA tournament will be the first played since early 2020 because of the pandemic.
