A busy night of action at the Redwood Acres Raceway this Saturday will feature the Firecracker 100 and the Upstate Bomber Series.

And to cap it all off, the local raceway will hold a fireworks display after the final race.

The night’s action is sponsored by Harper Motors, including the 100-lap Firecracker 100 Late Models main event.

The Legends, Mini Stocks and Roadrunners will also all be in action, with the gates opening at 4 p.m. and the racing getting under way at 5:30 p.m.

The Upstate Bomber Series, which features the best Bombers from throughout Northern California, will make its only stop of the season at the Redwood Acres.

David Miller currently leads the season standings in the Late Model division, but in a very tight race only nine points separate the top five drivers, with Luke Hall, Ryan Walters, David Henderson and Dustin Walters all in contention.

Loren Powers, Jr. leads the way in the Upstate Bombers Series, with Trystan Mucci, Mike Collins, Charlie Collins and Charley Tour rounding out the top five.

In the RAR season standings, Tyler Krupa leads by just four points, with his sister Raquel Krupa in second, followed by Ed Rasmussen, Jordan Krupa and Raymond Taylor, Jr.

Chris Lawrence, meanwhile, has a comfortable lead in the Legends season standings, holding a 29-point advantage over Tyler Krupa in second.

Brett Murrell, Andy Thornton and Brandon White round out the top five.

Things are much tighter in the Mini Stocks division, with Eric O’Ferrall leading Colton Kinsey by just two points atop the standings.

Sam Brown and C.J. Dalton are still within striking distance of the leader while Allison McCarty is fifth.

Jeremiah Martin leads the roadrunner points by 20 points over Bob Ratzlaff. Third through fifth include Steve Kimberling, Tanisha Ratzlaff and Nick Ford.

Tickets for Saturday’s event are $10 and will be available at the front gates, although raceway officials are asking fans to get their tickets before the day of the event to avoid lines and allow for quicker entrance to the grandstands.

Tickets can be purchased on the track’s website and are also available at the following local businesses: Automasters and Don’s Rent-All in Eureka, McKinleyville Barber Shop in McKinleyville and JC Auto in Fortuna.
