Karyn Jensen continued to cause problems for opposing pitchers on Thursday, but the College of the Redwoods women lost both games of a softball doubleheader against Feather River in Redding.
Jensen finished 4-for-4 in the opener and had five hits on the day, as the Corsairs fell 7-6 and 11-3 in six innings.
Redwoods led 6-5 after five innings in the opener, but were unable to make it stick, with Feather River scoring twice in the top of the sixth to sneak the win.
Grace Rosebrook hit successfully for CR in both games, finishing 2-for-2 in the opener, while Sadie Wilkinson was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs in the nightcap.
Juliana Ortega-Miranda also had a big day, finishing 2-for-3 with a triple in game two after going 1-for-3 with two RBIs in the opener.
Samantha Caughie had two hits on the day, including a double, to go with two RBIs, while Jaycee Morais had a double and Nas-Che-Wen Hunsucker had a hit.
Makayla Bernald took the loss in the circle in game one and Kylee Dewey in game two, with Ortega-Miranda also pitching well in game two.
The CR women will close out the season with three straight home doubleheaders, beginning against College of the Siskiyous on Saturday.
