The awards keep coming for Humboldt State’s Izzy Starr.
Just one week after being listed as a finalist for the Division-II player of the year, the Lumberjacks softball standout has been named on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division-II All-West Region Team.
Starr batted .468 in 14 games this spring, posting a .957 slugging percentage and a .468 on-base percentage.
She hit safely in 11 of HSU’s 14 games ,while only striking out once in 47 at-bats.
The Lumberjack sophomore also had team-highs in home runs (six) and RBIs (15).
Last week, Starr was included as one of 30 finalists for the Schutt Sports/NFCA DII Player of the Year.
