The Fortuna Huskies scored nine runs in the top of the second inning on the way to a comfortable 14-3 win in five innings at Hoopa in H-DNL baseball on Tuesday.

Cole Ayala, Ethan Ward and Joey Quen each had two hits in the win, including doubles by Ayala and Quen.

Aaron Head-Mason got the victory on the mound, pitching two hitless innings and striking out five.

Daniel Osborne also had a double, while Jared Egan, Branson Gans, Jason Renwand and Corbin Reback each added a hit, as the Huskies improved to 5-2.

Egan, Regan Nyberg and Matt Berti each also pitched an inning in relief.

The Huskies host St. Bernard’s at Newburg Park on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
