Jackson Giacone led a dominating Eureka performance at the plate against Del Norte on Wednesday, as the Loggers won 15-1 and improved to 5-0 in H-DNL baseball.
Giacone, a junior who has already verbally committed to play at national college powerhouse Cal State Fullerton after graduation, finished 4-for-4 with two doubles and seven RBIs.
The offensive onslaught didn’t end there, with Parker Rodgers going 3-for-3 with three RBIs.
Myles Standish also continued to dominate on the mound, allowing just one hit in three scoreless innings and striking out seven.
Keenan Morris and Zac Anderson each had two hits and a walk in the win.
Jared Dixon had two hits for the Warriors, while Cole Blackburn, Cooper Maxwell and Collin Tromble each had one.
With the loss, a young Del Norte team dropped to 2-5.
The two teams meet again in a doubleheader at Del Norte on Saturday.
