Kokko Figueiredo must have enjoyed his first Division-I home run on Friday, because he did it again two days later.
The former Fortuna and College of the Redwoods players is enjoying a strong debut season at the D-I level, and helped North Carolina Central to a four-game weekend split with North Carolina A&T.
For the weekend, Figueiredo was 6-for-13 at the plate with the two home runs, a double, six RBIs and four runs scored.
And his performance earned him Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference co-Player of the Week honors.
Figueiredo, who has hit safely in six straight games, is batting .289 on the season with five doubles and has a .422 slugging percentage in 23 games.
The Eagles are 12-11.
