The Del Norte Warriors defeated the Fortuna Huskies in H-DNL volleyball on Saturday, winning 25-21, 29-27 and 25-20.
And it was a mixture of seniors and younger players who paved the way to victory.
Seniors Caroline Hamm and Sarah Peters each had a big day, with Hamm posting a team-high 13 kills and Peters adding seven kills and six service aces.
Freshman McKenna Curtis also had a big game, finishing with six kills and three aces.
Kylee Fennell had a big game for Fortuna, finishing with a team-high eight kills, while teammate Renee Metz finished with four blocks.
In JV action, the Fortuna girls won 2-0.
The H-DNL volleyball season continues next week.
On Monday, Fortuna plays at McKinleyville and Del Norte hosts Arcata.
Also on Monday, Hoopa travels to Eureka.
