The Redwood Acres Raceway announced on Friday that the 2021 season will begin on May 1 and spectators will be allowed in the grandstands.
It will be the first time fans are permitted to attend since the end of the 2019 season.
With Humboldt County currently in the red COVID tier, 800 fans would be allowed.
If the county improves to orange, as is quite likely in the coming weeks, then 1,300 fans would be allowed.
Tickets for the season opening event are $10 and will be available for purchase on RacinTheAcres.com, beginning at noon on April 23.
There will be a maximum purchase of four tickets per person.
A test and tune for race teams is scheduled for April 17, beginning at 1 p.m.
Raceway officials will announce the full 2021 schedule next week.
