McKinleyville’s Isaac Puzz has wasted little time settling into his new home.
The former Panthers all-star made his debut with the Cuesta College men’s basketball team on Friday, scoring seven points off the bench in an 85-74 win over Allen Hancock.
Puzz transferred to Cuesta after one year at College of the Redwoods, where he played a big role as the sixth man in the Corsairs’ remarkable championship season.
The sophomore guard played 16 minutes in Friday’s season-opening win, shooting 2-of-3 from 3-point range and adding an assist.
The Cougars have five games scheduled over the next month.
Next up is a game against Cerro Coso on Friday.
Cuesta College is in San Luis Obispo County.
