Humboldt State softball adds six new recruits

On Tuesday, Humboldt State softball announced the addition of six new recruits for next year, with Ashley Bowers, Brianna Brown, Annabelle Dixon, Michael Edwards-Gonzalez, Tristyn Guevera and Emma Vincent all signing letters of intent.

“Within the 2021 class, we were able to fill some spots that will be open in the next few years with athletic and versatile players,” HSU head coach Shelli Sarchett said. “All these ladies are outstanding student athletes with the right attitude that fits our family culture. All of them have a positive impact both on the field and in the classroom.”

Bowers plays catcher and first base and is a four-time Scholar-Athlete and a four-year letter-winner at Carlsbad High School, while the versatile Brown, who played at Liberty High School, will play infield and outfield.

Dixon, meanwhile, comes from Valley Center High School and will also provide depth in both the infield and outfield, while Geuvera joins the Jacks from Bear Creek High School in Stockton and will play second base and outfield.

Edwards-Gonzalez, who plays at Bishop O’Dowd, will play second base and catcher, while Vincent joins the team from Granite Bay High School and will play third base.
